Cosan

Originally from the province of Quebec, the three sisters grew up in New Brunswick before moving to Prince-Edward-Island. They have been singing since their childhood and later started to learn to play instruments together around age ten. Ever since, they have been playing together for friends and family and discovered the wonderful sound of Irish music. On a summer trip to Vancouver Island, the group Cosán was born. Since then, Cosán has been playing in the Maritimes, performing for festivals and major events.

Dad and His Lad Featuring Jolee

There is a good mix of material heard from Dad and His Lad, from Neil's traditional classic country to a few more contemporary pieces from Billy. The songs range from classic Buck Owens through Rodney Foster with a stop along the way to introduce a number of songs that Neil has written over the years. The musicianship very good and the vocals from both Neil and Billy are excellent and full of heart. Dad and His Lad have something for every musical taste, as long as your taste is country!

Kendall Docherty & Mulligan Stew

A Mulligan Stew is a traditional meal made up with what's left over. You throw a bit of everything in a pot, cook it together, and usually wind up with a tasty mixture. This group is much the same. When you combine the fiddle music of Sheila Fitzpatrick, the guitar picking of John Webster, and the voice of Kendall Docherty you wind up with a Mulligan Stew of music, a bit of everything and something for everyone.  It's a great evening of music with a mix of traditional fiddle sets, Maritime ballads, and toe-tapping fun that will have you singing along all night!

North Lakes

Somehow, The North Lakes emerged.
Perhaps carried out from the forests in the arms of a Canadian winter. Maybe by washing up on the shores of their native Charlottetown. Surely, though, these sons and daughters are developing their own sounds rooted in folk, blues and pop traditions that will make you smile or tap your toes. Maybe even both! With hearts as big as their aspirations, be sure to investigate any recordings that find their way to your ears and any live performances as they stumble into your town.
