Olg Home Week

The heart and soul of Old Home Week, the week’s events have evolved and grown over the years. But the essence has stayed the same: a variety of top-notch entertaining, educational and memorable activities for the entire family. Agricultural shows and competitions, musical and stage acts, the Midway with its games and rides, food and retail vendors, and much more.

Family Fun

Don't miss the high flying riders at the BMX Show, the creative antics of Splash N' Boots, Jon the Cowguy and Brad the Balloon Guy, or the action and skill of the Wild West Show. You can also take in great Island music at the Best of the Island Showcase presented by Music PEI. And don't forget to visit Potatoland and the Rick Hansen Wheelchair Challenge. Old Home Week is all about entertainment, and that means entertainment for everyone. With an emphasis on variety, entertainment at Old Home Week blends the traditional with the modern, offering fun and excitement for all ages.

Agricultural Livestock Shows
One thing Islanders have always taken pride in is their commitment to quality in agriculture and they showcase this pride annually at Old Home Week’s Agricultural shows. This tradition is alive and well today. Be part of the audience and get an up close view of outstanding examples of a variety of animals, including horses, cattle, sheep and more.

Agricultural Competitions
Competition can bring out the best in people, and the same goes for animals. The four-legged or winged participants in these shows will be groomed and primped to be perfect examples of their respective breeds. From dairy and beef cattle to sheep and lambs to pigeons and ducks, judges will be making some tough choices and informed calls as some of the most show-worthy agricultural animals from across the Island and the region compete to be the best.
